First HDR photo

After several hours fighting with CS5, here's a similar series of bracketed photos, churned through the built in HDR Pro. I still have a lot to figure out, and I need to pick up the pace (this is very time intensive). But even from just doing three of these, I think the result is already noticeably better.

So here's the result of my first meddling with HDR. This top one looks much less natural to me, but of course, that's not a required attribute of HDR. If anyone wants to way in on their preference, just comment on whether you like the top or bottom (or neither) photo better. For a little perspective, there's a single shot in the previous post of basically the same thing. Some may prefer that.

Night Out. Here's a preview. More to come. Much more.

Here's a little photo-art. Simple photoshop filter. Very different effect and presentation than a real photo (below).

next

Some mixed shots, most older. Just getting around to posting.

Colorado. Near Buena Vista.

Spain. One of the few statues of religious nature that feature the Morning Star. The light-bringer. I'm sure you can figure out who it is. Very Paradise Lost.

Old shot. View from Hoboken. I'll be needing to get back over there for some better shots now that I actually live in NYC.

Top of the Rock.

Vietnam War Memorial, D.C. Image not edited. Shot at night, hand held, narrow depth with the 35L, natural lens flare from ambient light.

New Year.

Here's some new pix. I have a lot of material to work through.

working with a texture on this one.
